“Fungi are the world’s natural changers, moving things from one state of being to the next, and it is partially for this reason that I have found myself drawn to them in my practice. This collection of work is a manifestation of my growing fascination with the beauty of mushrooms as they pertain to transformation, renewal, decay, and death. Their profound strangeness acts as a lens through which to find wonder in the things that frighten us whether it be our own impermanence or the uncertainty of moving through stages of existence. It is a consideration of my relationship with my own body, of personal agency and of my place ecologically and philosophically within the world as a whole.”
